HealthSouth Toms River Receives Exceptional Performance and Clinical Excellence Awards
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River was recognized with the Exceptional Performance Award and the Outstanding Performance in Clinical Excellence Award during HealthSouth’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet held Sept. 23, in Miami, Florida. The awards were accepted by hospital CEO Patty Ostaszewski.
HealthSouth Toms River is one of only four hospitals in HealthSouth’s nationwide network of 122 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals to receive the Outstanding Performance in Clinical Excellence Award. This distinction is given to the company’s top four performing hospitals based on their Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation’s program evaluation model (PEM) scores. PEM scores recognize high-performing facilities for their delivery of quality patient care that is effective, efficient, timely and patient-centered.
The Exceptional Performance Award recognizes the hospital’s consistent financial and clinical performance over the past four consecutive years. HealthSouth Toms River was one of five hospitals to receive this honor.
“We are grateful to play a key role in helping patients regain independence and return to the community after experiencing a debilitating illness or injury, and our team at HealthSouth Toms River works hard to provide them with exceptional outcomes and life-changing results,” said Ostaszewski. “These awards are a reflection of their consistent dedication and teamwork and for going above and beyond to make them feel comfortable when in our care.”
